A
full bathroom remodel is a big task with a lot of moving parts, so we’ll provide a general outline of what you can expect. Please keep in mind that every project is different so some of these steps may look different depending on your needs and what gets finalized.

Planning it out. Here, we’ll work together and decide on a design that fits your vision. If you’re looking to create a brand new floor plan for the bathroom, we’ll develop a new floor plan at this time. It's crucial to know where any existing wiring and plumbing is, and where you’ll want it. We’ll also go over your budget and preferred timeline as well. The bathroom remodel cost can vary depending on the work done or materials used, it’ll be best to get that squared away at the beginning.

Time to demolish your old bathroom. Once we finish planning everything out and have materials ordered, we’ll begin removing and safely clearing out the bathroom. We’ll be careful not to damage any features or fixtures that will be needed later on. Once the sink, toilet, and tub have been removed we’ll be able to see and address any hidden water damage or mildew growth. Trim such as baseboards and accessories like towel bars are also removed.

Plumbing and Electrical work. Once everything is exposed, we can start the plumbing and electrical work for the new fixtures. We’ll make sure every fixture and feature is working properly and is also up to code. Things that may be done at this stage are replacing pipes, installing new water lines, and connecting the new fixtures to the existing plumbing and running new wires, installing new junction boxes, and connecting the new wiring to the existing electrical system. Here is really when we can start implementing any changes that you want

Put up drywall. Now that we are finished with the new plumbing and electrical work, we can close up the walls. If you wanted to add them, now would be the best time to install blocking between wall studs to support grab bars. Other things we would do at this stage is Install a cement board and vapor barrier in damp areas in the shower stall or tub. Cement boards are incredibly important because they are resistant to moisture and also make a good support for tile.

Paint. The most ideal time to paint is after the drywall is completed but before starting on the tile, tub, and other features. This is really just to avoid getting any paint where you don't want it, like splatter on your brand new storage or tub.

Finish tiling. The tile chosen during the planning process can now be installed to start breathing new life into the bathroom. The shower and/or tub will be tiled first, and then the surrounding areas like the wall and floor. We will be sure to put some thought into the grout that is used so that it complements the tile throughout the room. Waterproof underlayment will be added to applicable areas.

Install tub and shower.
Once the tile is completed, set, and dried, we can install the tub and/or shower. Depending on what you chose, we can install a built in shower curtain rod for the curtain or a track and door for an enclosed shower.

Installing lighting an exhaust fan.
We’ll take care of the exhaust fan here. It would be a good idea to upgrade the fan seeing as it is the primary defense against mold and milder by removing moister in the air. We can also install some ambient lighting if you so wish.

Install vanity, sink, and other fixtures.
At this point we’ll be finishing up. The vanity and sink will be put in their planned space and properly installed and the plumbing connected. The toilet will also be installed, either a new or the same unit. The finishing touches will be items like storage options and bath accessories that you have chosen.
